The reason I didn't configure a blu ray drive with my 1530 was due to the fact that my only option was for a blu ray drive that plays and writes bd discs for a whopping $500 extra. All I really wanted was a drive that plays blu rays. With this awesome resolution, it's a shame not to be able to play discs in HD.

Is it possible to call dell and have them install a blu ray drive in my notebook? If so, would i have to send it in - and has anyone else done this? I have seen inspirons with the option for just a blu ray drive that doesn't write that is much cheaper. Unfortunately, the XPS line did not have this option. What do you guys recommend?
