I ordered it form Dell with 2GB of ram.

Basically, what I'm asking is, is the performance difference between 2gb and 4gb worth upgrading it (not from Dell, newegg probably), and will that require buying 4GB of new ram (2x2gb), or are there enough slots to just buy 1x2gb stick, and use it with the 2x1gb sticks I already have.

Also, is 2gb enough to run Vista well and for casual gaming.

you only have 2 slots. If you want a total of 4gb, you will need to replace your current memory sticks as well. I had a system with 2.5 GB of ram and then went to 4 GB, my system with vista 32 bit only reads about 3.6 GB. Things do load faster and the hard drive barely has to do any work now. All in all with the cheap prices for RAM (got 4gb of OCZ, pc5400 for $80 after $20 rebate) it is a good idea to just max it out.
