I've searched these forums for a while for a solution, but couldn't find any that worked, so, here's my problem.
I decided to downgrade to XP on my XPS M1530 laptop from vista, I went through, got all the drivers and that from this site, but the webcam drivers in the package don't work for me. I open up the setup.exe, and it brings up a loading screen that says "Setting up software drivers now, please wait..." it gets to 80%, then stops and says "An error occured while setting up the driver."
I've redownloaded twice, and I still get the same problem. Anyone know what's going on?

Also, I burnt myself a slipstreamed CD with the webcam drivers on them, and I want to know if this might correct the issue if I install with them slipstreamed. Also, would there be a way to reinstall windows (for the drivers) without losing any of my settings or programs. There is the "repair" option, but I don't want to try that out unless I know I won't have to fix my settings (again).
