I detached my power supply today and was planning to use it on battery, but then the backlight just went off. I tried plugging the cord back in, but that didn't help. It only resolved itself by doing a restart of the computer. I've checked the battery settings and it seems like the battery is healthy, so I'm unsure as to what is causing the problem.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Edit

I'm now encountering backlight flickering when it's connected through the power cord

Would it be the monitor or could it be something else?
