    XPS M1330 microphone dead? (XP downgraded)

    Hi..

    I could not find a solution to this problem anywhere on the forum.

    My microphone (the one next to the camera) is not picking up any sound when I try the sound recorder. Nothing at all.. Absolute silence. I remember it working on Vista, and I *guess* it worked on XP once, too. Maybe it stopped working after my second install of XP.
    The volume control tab for recording is present and all the tabs are pulled to maximum.

    Is there a separate driver I need to install for the mic to work?

    Seemed to be a weird problem with my driver, I installed the updated file and it's working ok.
