On tuesday April 7th, this problem first occured

My screen would go black, but its still on its just as if the video image of my computer operations were disconnected from being shown on my LCD screen.
I'm not sure how to explain it really... but basically imagine you have a desktop computer and you unplug the monitor but keep the power on... So therefore you know the monitor is still on and working.. but the image isn't produced on the monitor because of some sort of "disconnection"

I know my computer itself is still running because if i use the media keys i can control music and file transfers that were existing will continue to finish.

The only way i can get my screen to work is by force shutting down... I hold the power button till it goes off and then turn it on... and repeat the steps until the screen will turn on again...

Usually i hit a boot screen telling me that windows failed to recover my last resume point or something.. and says would i like to try again. If i select yes, it acts as if i had hibernated my computer and i resume from my last spot before the screen turns off on me

But this may be due to the fact that i set my power button to hibernate when pressed and yeah..

I just really don't know what to do.. so any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated
