So recently just sent my 1330 to get the mobo replaced for the first time after owning if for several months, got it back and had already ordered the copper shim for the now famous "copper mod". So all is going well, slowly I start to notice that while plugged in the laptop slows down - to the point of a 20 minute boot up. Unplug it and run off battery and it instantly speeds up. After speaking to Dell they've concluded I need yet another mother board (having just got this one back a month or so ago.)

Anyone else having a similar issue? A tech is swapping it in the first half of this week.

    Cliffs:
    - Laptop runs slow plugged in
    - Won't charge
    - Runs fine on battery
    - Another mobo replacement :(

As another thought - has anyone tried to apply for a "Lemon Law" type deal? If this mother board craps out one more time I'm seriously considering to just tell them they have to send me a newer model (the Studio I guess?) with equal or greater specs for having the mother board replaced 3 times within a period of a year.

That happened to me with my old Toshiba A100 it has to do with the motherboard. The connector of the adapter fries the motherboard connector and no longer accepts charge. Dell might fix it. But i know toshiba dosen't :( they said i was using a non toshiba charger witch caused it but i was using the charger that came with it.
