I just replaced my nvidia motherboard with an intel one. The nvidia one is still working fine, I just wanted the intel one so that it won't fail on me.

I just spent 2 hours changing it while looking at the dell service manual as a guide. When I first booted it up the bios screen came up asking me to put in a service tag which I did. Once I quit the bios I tried to start up windows, but everytime I do this it freezes for a second on the Windows 7 splash screen then flashes to a BSoD before coming up with the Windows Error Recovery screen which I've attached below. The BSoD flashes really quickly so I recorded it and I've also attached a screenshot below (the best I could get). I tried the windows error recovery but it just keeps searching and can't seem to find what the problem is.

I tried to reformat but when I try to boot from the disc the same thing happens.

Any ideas? Is there something I need to do with the hard drive? I'd be annoyed if this motherboard is faulty after spending all this time..

Edit: I took the hard drive out, put it in an external case and connected it to my other laptop. Reformatted it then put it back in and I was able to reinstall Windows. Guess it was some hard drive problem.

    Well done for fixing it
I was going to say that in any motherboard changes I have done be it laptop or PC, despite it being the same, there are always "unique" identifiers which windows does not want to let go.
As a result, a BSOD almost always happens until a reinstall is carried out
