    XPS M1210 bluetooth issues...help!

    Bios has the bluetooth enabled

    checked under the battery and yes, a card of some sort is in place..pretty sure its the internal bluetooth card

    no icon appears in toolbar..bluetooth indicator light is there but not lit...

    nothing appears in the device manager relating to bluetooth..

    have installed all the updated drivers via Dells website related to bluetooth..

    How do I activate bluetooth on this M1210??

    have you reinstalled your os?? because this happened to me before. I have the bluetooth turned off when i reinstalled my system and after the new os was installed the bt didnt show up in the device manager nor show up on the indicator light.

    Yes, I sure did. Cleaned the HD early on of Vista and installed XP, then once the service pack came out reinstalled the Vista OS.

    Did a bunch of internet sleuthing and came across this patch:

    once this was done, things started rolling and now my Buell Motorcycle is bluetooth enabled...
