Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this?
When the power button is pressed the internal speakers beep 7 times, no lights (inc. power button) turn on nor is anything displayed on the screen. The fan comes on full blast and it remains this way untill it is powered off. There is power to the optical drive.
I'm at a bit of a loss, I've seen a couple of threads suggesting that this is processor related on the 1645. This laptop is less than a month old, my THIRD XPS 15 due to faults.
How much luck do you think I would have returning for a full refund?
I'm thinking it may just be time for a desktop.

According to your setup guide you have a CPU problem.

Information taken from here Page 65
Edit: I know this page says L702X, but I think the 502X and 702X manuals are the same. If you try to pull up the 502X manuals from Dell it takes you to the 702X manuals.

    Thanks for the reply!
I was afraid it was a processor issue, I take it there is no simply remedy?
I have tried resetting the CMOS although further than that I'm hesitant as to void the warranty.
I wouldn't want Dell thinking I was the cause.
