    XPS 9550 dual drives ?

    Can the new XPS 15 support dual drives? the one i am looking at comes with a 512GB PCIe Solid State Drive. is there another position to install another drive for other storage on this laptop ?

    My understanding is that if you get the one with the 84whr battery, it takes the space that would otherwise be available for a 2.5" sata drive.
    if you get the model with the 56whr battery, the battery is physically smaller, and you have the 2.5" bay available, although you may have to order an extra cable for the socket.

    You would also need to buy the appropriate connectors. Item Part # xdygx. There are some on eBay from time to time.

    You need to take into consideration the shorter battery life when switching to smaller battery. I see others initially got the 54W then later switched to 84W.
