Has anyone used the Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD in their 9530?
If so how difficult/easy is it to clone and set up?

I currently have 512 GB mSata in my laptop and quite frankly am tempted..

I don't blame you. Thinking the same thing myself. I know when I bought an Intel drive there is a piece of software that is download able from Intel made from acronis.
Creates an image to restore from you just need a USB HDD

It's pretty straightforward, in my opinion. I would suggest just using Acronis Migrate Easy. There's a 15 day trial. The process would be:

    - Install SSD
    - Install Migrate Easy
    - Run program, tell program to clone MSATA to SSD
    - Laptop will reboot and clone, then will indicate it's done and that it's going to shut down
    - Once laptop is off, set SSD as primary boot drive
    - Boot laptop to Windows, do whatever you want with the MSATA drive

done it, i used macrium to backup the image to an external drive. restored the image then expanded it ( i swapped the mSata). the following day i activated secure drive, wiped the lot, secure erased via thumb drive and installed windows 8 pro then activated bitlocker so that e-drive kicked in using the built in encryption rather than it wanting to encrypt the entire drive the slow way as it wanted to.

i get read writes of 1000mb/s using samsung rapid mode!

I should have clearer.. I do mean the 1TB mSATA drive.. I have the 90 WHr battery so a normal SSD isn't an option I believe.
