Hey all, recently had some bad luck with the gateway P6831FX and was looking into Dell. Just had one question is the processors in the 1730 upgradeable to the T9300 or no? seeing as I have a T9300 sitting in a box on my desk atm, I was going to buy one with a lower processor and just swap it out.

    Thanks

should be but i would ask gateway or dell before you try it. Also note it will void your warranty on the dell

You can, but as AlexH said, you'll void your Dell warranty.

Even if so expect to take apart the top of the laptop to get to the cpu. Nowhere near as easy as it is on the Gateway FX which is a snap.
