My short review on movies watching with 3D enabled, since virtually no one could help me out earlier I figured I'd post my experience.

I didn't really want 3D for the gaming experience otherwise I'd have gone the sager/clevo route, mainly wanted it for 3D movie/tv viewing.

In this respect the Dell XPS performs very good, in fact Avatar and Piranha 3D looked very nice on the screen and in my opinion were more enjoyable to watch that way than non 3D

And it flawlessly plays .mkv 3D files, whether they are SBS, Over, Under, or Anaglyph

Screen is very nice and clear. I have two complaints. The first is the screen size. I'm coming from a M1730 which has the 1920x1200 screen and the XPS 17 has the 1920x1080 so you lose some real estate there.

2nd complaint is the speaker volume, it doesn't seem as loud as my M1730.

    Any questions?
