First of all my apology for creating this thread. I really need to get a spare adapter for my XPS 17. I already got the 130 Watt but my laptop suffer in performance than when having it charged with 150 Watt adapter. I also notice the fan does not blow as strong with the 130 Watt adapter.

I chat with Dell sales representative and again they are passing me from one person to another. Can anyone advise me what is the compatible adapter for my XPS 17 that is 150 Watt?

Thank you for your time and advice.

Thank you for your advice. Since this adapter is for from US, is it compatible to be used for UK XPS 17 or do I need to change something?

Oops didn't notice your location there. You could buy the US one and get an adapter.

Odd I didn't find anything on Dell's UK site...maybe contact Dell and tell them you have throttling issues and they would ship you a 150 watt brick. Try Dell Chat instead of calling.

All Dell adapters made in the past decade have been rated for 120v to 240v. To use a "US" adapter in the UK, all you need to do is change the cord between the brick and the outlet or get a mechanical adapter.

Tried chatting with them and they are just passing me around. Same with calling. They don't know anything. :(

Mechanical cord, you meant the cord with the three pin plug for the wall socket?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes you would need one for Europe, that is what I meant. Commander_Wolf states it best, either change the power cord or get a physical adapter to change from US to EU standard.
