    XPS 1640 HDMI Full aspect ratio?

    when i use the hdmi out to my 46" sony xbr4 lcd i get 1-2 inch black margins on the left and right sides no matter what settings in CCC or VLC i fiddle with. the tv's wide zoom setting corrects this issue except for the fact that it obviously doesn't give you the full aspect ratio of viewing in the opposite direction. anyone know how to fill out that extra couple inches? something i missed?
