    Hi everyone,
I'm having a charging issue with my Studio XPS 1640. It says plugged in, charging but it won't charge more than 20%. Also, the battery icon animation doesn't fill up.
Is this a battery issue or could it also be faulty motherboard?
The system is 2 years old.
    Thanks

If it was the motherboard I'd guess it wouldn't charge at all, I think you might have a faulty battery.

Batteries only have a 1 year warranty so you will probably have to purchase another. Just make sure you buy an OEM Dell battery.
