    XPS 1530 DDR2 Problem

    Hi, I'm using XPS 1530 and I've recently upgrate the ram memory from 3 GB to 4 GB/667 mh and when I tested it with CPU-Z shows 4 GB ram but on 333 mh.
    (sorry for my english I'm from Macedonia)

    2 sticks of ram

    2gb (333Mhz) + 2gb (333Mhz) = 4gb 667Mhz

    Well... yes... but your explanation is kind of unclear.

    The memory isn't 667mhz because it's two sticks, even one stick would be 667mhz.

    It's DDR2 (Double Data Rate, Revision 2) so you double that. 333x2 = ~667
    I guess the manufacturers were afraid of labeling the speed as 666. Actually it's rounding, it probably reads as like 333.7mhz anyway.

    every stick has 667mhz i think, that isn't a memory to calculate it.

    ya, i got the same question.
    It says my memory speed is only 333 mhz. Don't know why :(
    I paid for 667 Mhz.

    May be X2P's explanation is correct?
