Anyone else experiencing DPI scaling issues with autocad? I've tried running autocad 2012, 2015 and 2016 and there seems to be no fix on the program properly scaling to the right resolution.

I have already tried lowering the resolution to 1080p, using manifest to have a zoomed view (works but not on 2012 version) and disabling dpi scaling in app settings using admin.

    It is a known issue.

With Windows apps, it is up to the individual app developer to properly implement dpi scaling. Autodesk, and adobe products, are two of the high profile developers that haven't done this yet.

You patched together whatever workarounds are out there already. Your only options now are to deal with it, and wait for autodesk to fix it.

I use ArcGIS Arcmap 10 and I found a work around for the DPI scaling issue at the link below. You have to feel comfortable with a minor edit of the executable (it isn't to difficult). I've run into a few minor issues such as, some popup windows are still WAY to small but the program works well otherwise. The speed and memory of this laptop make it all worth it. Arcmap is a huge resource hog but runs smoothly on this device and allows me to run multiple other programs like Word, Excel, Chrome....

I'm thinking of trying a Windows 7 or 8 emulator within Windows ten what do you think are my chances ?

For what purpose? To try and work around DPI issues?

If that is the case, then using a Windows 7/8 emulator won't do anything. The issue is that AutoCAD doesn't play well with high-dpi monitors and high monitor resolutions. It's not a Windows OS issue. Therefore, using an earlier version of Windows won't change anything.
