My 9560 (i7-7700HQ, 16GB, SSD+HDD, FHD, 56 WHr) is over a year old, and I undervolted it (-145 mV) from the start.

Its temperature was in the low 30Cs, and battery life about 6-8 hours, in light usage.

Two weeks ago I noticed that the temperature has jumped to the low 40Cs (so a rise of +20 F), and battery life dropped to about 3 hours. This was a not a gradual change, but seemed to happen overnight. It was about the time of some Windows updates, and Dell updates, but I am not sure if those were the cause.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it ?

I tried Ubuntu as a check, but it froze at the desktop.
