My new, fully charged XPS 15 9550 won't turn on... when I press the power button the light comes on, the fans run for 2 seconds, then stop, and the light goes off. I tried holding the button, nothing happens.

I did see someone with a similar issue was told by Dell to hold power + d, which I did and the screen started cycling through colors, then shut off again, and now the lights or fans won't even come on at all.

I'm starting to wonder the same thing, I also had an issue with the spacebar and the Intel graphics crashing... The MSI gs60 or ws60 looks like a pretty good alternative

The Intel graphics driver issue isn't specific to Dell. It's Intel's issue with HD 5xx graphics drivers. Intel has already put one driver update out to fix things, but they haven't gotten it all fixed yet. If you go with any Skylake system with Intel graphics, you'll run into the same issues right now.

The people with the new Surface Pro 4 are also having the graphics driver crashing at random points. Saw it myself in the brief time I had one of those before returning and getting a 9550. So that's not a Dell thing.

This is Dell you are talking about. Dell have never had QC, just look at all the issues people are having with the new XPS 15 for example. What I find staggering that that some of you are still placing orders or haven't cancelled if you are waiting for your order. Alarm bells should be ringing!
