This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Thanks to KenPCX's post in the 9550 owner's lounge I decided to reset my bios to defaults and then reconfigure the bios after restarting. After doing so I have noticed much quicker startups (25-35 seconds down to 15) and windows reports an extra hour of battery life. I realize that windows isn't a very reliable battery life indicator, but figured I'd add that to this post.

    Figured I'd create a new thread so people who missed KenPCX's post could take full advantage of the new bios...
