I just reformatted my notebook because of some minor problems i was having, and after reformatting, I noticed my sound was not working. When going to playback devices, it shows 2 speakers and my HDMI device. One of the speakers is working and the other says not plugged in. The one that says working shows the green bars go up whenever there should be sound, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. My headphones work fine when plugged in. My microphone also says its not plugged in, but i haven't tested that yet.

When trying to install the latest driver from dell, it just gave an error message whenever I tried to install it, saying that the device could not be found. It was the Sigmatel STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio. Any help?

Edit: Somehow I got it working, don't know what i did different.
