When I lift my XPS 13 9350 with one hand at the right side, it has now started to just shut down. It seems like the battery or something loses contact with the motherboard at that moment and of course the laptop then has no power and goes black. Quite irritating.
Anyone had the same? Might be out of warranty now, but will check a bit.

It could either be a bad battery, loose connection or something shorting. -
Probably a loose connection.
I'd use this and check: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Dell+XPS+13+Teardown/36157
You have immediate access to the battery and its connection when you take off the back. Note that after you take off all the screws, it will still be difficult to pull the back off if you never have done this - it just has a lot of clips but it will come off with enough pulling force without any damage. I've taken apart three multiple times thus far, swapped a few motherboards, hard drives, etc. -
Thanks, I will test a bit. It was last opened by a "Dell" engineer (a local repairing firm here, not Dell), that changed the screen. So could be something there.
Or maybe I have held too much at one end opened and it has gradually made the connection lose.
I have opened it once as well, to put in a 512GB SM951 SSD. -
