    Hi All,

Just wanted to post mine is fine - adding a positive review... (FHD i7)

    1) I've never heard the fan come on ever
    2) Touchpad is fine, though I'm not a heavy user of it
    3) No light bleed
    4) Content adaptive totally unnoticed in normal use - though I did the test and it is there
    5) Double typing now 99% fixed after A04 BIOS update today (my biggest issue)

One quick query though: How long should I need to hold the power button
to wake from sleep? I find I need about 10 seconds which seems way too long -
where can I find a manual that speaks to this and also why a super long press
(45 seconds) does a hard reboot? I only found that out from these forums, surely
    Dell document that somewhere?

    Regards,

    Martin

Long press of power button to force cold reset/power down has been a feature on every computer I ever used and I used few, so this may be general PC spec.
As far as #1, maybe not so good, depending on what's the temperatures of cpu, HDD/SDD? I have older latitude, fan won't spin at all until cpu hits 80C, so by the time fan starts spinning, cpu is already overheating and throttling, also no fan overheats my HDD's and already killed one and there is no way I know off to spin fan manually.

Thanks - I agree, long press is always force power off, but 45s?? More like 10s usually... in terms of CPU heat I agree, but I think it's just light use and it doesn't feel warm to touch at all...

Having timed it wake from sleep is more like 6-7s btw - still seems excessive though...

    1) If your computer is truly in Sleep / Suspend mode (and not Hibernate or PowerOff mode), then just tapping any button on the keyboard or the power button should wake the laptop back up. No need to hold anything down, or press for a long time. Just simply pressing any key (like the spacebar) one time will trigger the computer to wake up.

    2) If you hold the power down for about 4 seconds (in just about any power state), then your computer will do a hard shutdown. Press the power button again (don't hold down) to power the laptop back up. I don';t think Dell documents this, because that behavior is a function of the ATX power specification.

well, not on this machine - key presses, mouse clicks do nothing - power button held for 6-7s is all that wakes it - was just wondering if it was the same for everyone who owns this model?
