    Hi,

    I have an XPS15 9560 connected via USB-C to a D6000, then to a UP3214Q 4K monitor via DisplayPort.

However, I can only get 30hz at 4k.

Tried a different port (on both D6000 and display), checked monitor is in DP1.2 mode, but no luck.

I am currently running no other monitors using the dock.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Dan

I appreciate DisplayLink is a compromise, bur surely it should work at the advertised frame rate. It claims to be able to do 2 x 4k/60hz even over USB3!

I can definitely confirm that it works at 4K/60 via HDMI 2.0. Using this daily here in our office on a LG 4K TV with XPS 9560 and a HP Spectre.

I wonder if its Dell UP3214Q that has the issue, I hoped as its all Dell it would work!

Does that Display support HDMI (2.0), too? That would be an easy solution...

Based off of the name, it's a 2014 monitor, so not a chance.

EDIT: what Dan Jones said above.

I am sure my monitor is good, on my XPS 13 9343 the DP outputs at 4k60 no problem.

Do you have the Displaylink drivers installed? According to the manual, it shouldn't be a problem (presence of drivers should only influence the HDMI link), but we can never be too sure.

Yes, latest DisplayLink drivers are installed, in fact the D6000 wont output DisplayPort whatsoever without the drivers. The HDMI works with or without.
