    Would you get this configured xps1645 or 1647

    Just looking for opinions.

    xps1647:
    i5-540m
    bluray rom
    4gb ram
    16 inch RGBLED

    or

    xps1645:
    i7-720m
    bluray rom
    8gb ram
    15.6 inch wled


    The 1647 has the RGBLED while the 1645 has 8gb of ram. I am just curious what some people would choose between the two and why.

    If you're going for portability, go for the i5 since it doesn't drain as much juice as the quad i7.

    If you're going for a desktop replacement gaming machine, why not check out the ASUS G73?

    I went with less ram ...4 gigs the RGB and an SSD with the 620 processor....
    seems like the sweet spot given that you can't order the RGB with the 720 processor any longer...just got it and I am happy with the config...working well...
