    As topic said, I was browsing around Ebay to find a replacement keyboard and I found one with part number NK750 JM629. Here's the compatibility list from the Ebay store:

    Description:

    * Model:A701
    * Dell P/N: NK750 JM629

    Compatibility:

    * Inspiron 1420 (PP26L), 1520, 1521, 1525, XPS M1330 keyboard
    Vostro 1000, 1400, 1500,
    Inspiron 1520, 1521 keyboard,
    numbers on part include NSK-D9201, 9J.N9382.201

    I think it looks very similar to my keyboard but it wouldn't hurt to see inputs from the more experienced users here. Thanks in advance!

    I have searched the forum under this topic, but no luck. People have tried with the compatible keyboards you listed, but not the M1530. I'd like to know this as well.

    Are the keyboards the same size on the 1330 and 1530? The 1530 one *seems* easier to type on...

    I have both an M1330 and M1530. When I bought the M1330 (04/08) I complained about a bump in the middle of the Keyboard so they sent me a new one ( the rep said it would fix the problem entirely - but I knew it was a wiring/cable issue from the forums).I have not installed it - I guess I am waiting for a more severe keyboard issue before I do. So I overlayed the M1330 on my M1530 and much to my surprise it is the same keyboard -exact same size - exact mounting points (the ones that I can see anyway).I am 99% sure this will work.
    I attached a picture with the M1330 keyboard overlayed on my M1530.

    Hi

    I'm very interested in how the story ended ?

    I nearly can't find a new m1530 keyboard but m1330 keyboards are no problem, so if it really fits and works...? :) :) :)

    NK750 is the part number for the 1530's keyboard (the US keyboard, anyway)

    You can also use the black Vostro 1400 keyboard (JM629) if you want something a bit different and/or want a crisper/less flexy feel.

    Just wondering... What does the backplate of the vostro keyboard look like? And how much flex does it have..?
