I want to know if I can ask for a refund/exhchange a XPS M1330. The warranty lasts until 2011.
Ever since we bought this laptop There have been problems with it. The "8" does not work - it always overheats, the Wifi sometimes doesn't work and won't work until you restart the laptop (Which gets annoying when you have to do it 3 times a day) and so much more. Restoreing it to factory settings does not fix any of these issues.
The warranty was for one year but we kept sending it in trying to get it fixed and dell would send it back saying they fixed and it wasn't so then they demanded us to extend the warranty or they wouldn't fix it. This has happened twice. They have sent two people out here to get the laptop and fix it and neither did anything. One said he changed the hardrive which was a lie because when we got it back the desktop background was the same, favorites, games were still installed on it like oblivion and the DC as well as saves and much more. The other claimed to replace the motherbord.
Anyways. This laptop was almost $2000 - a lot of money and it barely works.
I blame a lot of it on the M1330's overheating I have read a lot about. This one can be on for 5 minutes just on not playing movies or games or anything and if you set it on your legs it burns extremely bad. Even with pants on. The disk drive won't even play movies because the laptop roars so loud.
Sorry for the rant, I am just frustrated because it is getting worse (I don't know how, anymore the laptop will explode)
Dell has made us spend several hundred dollars on extending the warranty and has never fixed a single problem. So I want to know can I ask for a refund or exchange even though it is 2 years old? I don't plan on letting them get by anymore. I have owned nothing but dells and really like them but this one is just lowdown on their part.

Dude, you can definitely get a replacement. But don't be too aggressive at the beginning...express your frustration then ask something like "Is there any method to prevent this from happening again?"
My M1330 got replaced by a Studio XPS 1647. See my sig for spec. Nice deal huh? -
Will dell refund M1330?
