I can't get my new Asus 24" to work with my laptop.

    Connected to HDMI.

    Am I missing something?

Does it show up in display settings? You might have to enable it.

It was showing up. I've never had more than one monitor, so this is all new to me.

Anyways, after playing with it for a little while longer, I'm up and running. :D

Here's my next problem, after my laptop resumes after my screensaver, it goes back into single monitor mode and I have to correct it by Fn + F1.

My original l702x had a bad HDMI port or something. On my TV it would just display "no signal" and on another HDMI monitor the picture was mostly green and very garbled...but the replacement (which has better specs anyway at the same price...) worked fine. Glad yours worked right out.

Multi-monitor is awesome as you will find out. I keep beating my head on the desk at work since I only have one screen there...and have had 2 at home for close to 3 years :D

I'm loving it. I'll take a few pictures and post here.

I just wish I could figure out why after I come back and my screen saver goes off, it goes back to a single display on my laptop.

Sounds like some sort of issue with HDMI. Having only used HDMI in a single-monitor mode long enough for sleep/screen power off to be an issue, I'm not sure. Check the power settings, perhaps there is something there?

Well every time the screen saver goes off or I reboot it defaults back to 1 display and I have to change it by doing Fn+F1 on my XPS. I just cant figure it out.

Yea thats what I'm having to do. I guess I just have to do it every time I turn my computer on or turn off the screen saver.

I don't mind doing it when I first power up, but after resuming and after a full screen game? Thats going to get annoying.
