Just looking at the studio XPS 13/1640 and the SSD's are no longer an option.

    Hmmmm

Also, the standard color now is obsidian black high gloss finish with NO leather. The leather is now a $40 upgrade. That is strange to say the least.

What else... Oh, the 1640 now comes with a 1600 x 900 base display. That is good news but I'd imagine most ppl get RGBLED :) There's also a non RGB 1080p panel.

I am still confused about the lack of SSD options....

Interesting...I'd like to see how the Studio XPS looks without leather.

The 256GB samsung ssd is one of the best available.

Other choices would be nice but I just thought it was weird that they took them all down.

I do like the new default screen (1600x900) though :D

I wish Dell would release that screen res for the 1340 (similar to the Sony Z). I'd be all over a high-res 13"....

I'm on EPP right now and have looked thru all of the 1640 configs and none list the SSD as an option.

    Wow.

I justed noticed that the new screen options say 15.6" instead of 16".

I don't think that's right but it is possible since the LCD is in the E2E case. Anyone gonna be a guinea pig and order one with the HD+ display? lol
