Been looking to get a new laptop for a while, and really like the price of the XPS 17 for what you get (even with the slightly miss-leading "3GB" GT 555M).

But its been out there for a while now and was wondering if its going to be superseded any time soon, or if there was another Laptop out there that can give it a serious run for its money when talking about the sub £900 2.90 i7, 640GB HD, 8GB RAM, 3D, HD+.

R3, not M3. If you buy a new XPS 17, it will be an R3. Its like buying a Toyota Camry, whether its a 1980's Camry or a 2011, its still a Camry, completely different, but the name is the same.

    XPS 17, same thing.
