A tech came to replace my motherboard and when he was taking the computer apart the plastic piece from the front panel where the 2 headphone jacks, microphone jack and status lights are fell off. I'm not sure what glue I should use to stick it back on. Should I just call dell and ask them about it?

I just wanted to come here and ask in case this happened to anyone else before.

And why should you be fixing something the tech did?

He came back a few times to fix things and when I called in yesterday (because my mic and camera weren't working) I forgot to ask them about the glue too so I feel like that's my fault. Doesn't make sense to ask for the tech to come all the way back here for something that can be done in a few seconds.

If you have a complete care warranty, that covers everything, even accidental damage. If not, you still should not use any sort of liquid adhesive since can potentially screw up other components (like your display) if it ends up in the wrong place . My suggestion: call Dell XPS Premiere Support and tell them the situation. Yes, you may have to pay for a new palm rest, bezel, etc... but at least the unit will look completely new when repaired properly.
