Seeing as the prices have come within about $300 of eachother for these machines, I was wondering if there is a major advantage going with Alienware over Dell on the laptops with the i7 CPUs?

Do the Alienware systems have the same throttling issues? Are they significantly better systems? Worth returning the 1645 and getting the Alienware?

Baiscly, the studio xps 16 has a weaker graphic card (very very weaker), and it overheats and your screen can decolour due to that overheating.
Its like comparing a piece of junk old french car to a brand new ferrari.

I've had my SPXPS for near on two months now and haven't experience ANY overheating, that being said it's a given that a gaming laptop is going to have a better graphics card when compared with a "multi-media" system, and besides if any system is the ferrari here it's the SXPS it looks fantastic, the alienware systems are bulky and fugly.
