Dell after much hassel replaced my xps 1530 which had had 3 mother boards, two lcd screens and 2 palm rest replacements this summer with a brand new studio XPS 1645 (loaded up). now I need to add to the warranty which is complete care till dec of this year. Dell wants $775.00 to get two more years of complete care. I think this is really a rip off and wanted to know what those of you who had the same replacement payed.
Earlier this year one of my sons had his E-1505 replaced with a loaded 1545 and two years complete warranty was only about $200.

What did you pay and for what?

    Thanks for your input

    Gary

It's normal. Just get rid of complete care and the price will come down quite a bit.

Assuming your 1530 is coming the end of 3 years.. yes your warranty would be expensive, You see you are extending the your old warranty and years 4-5 are the most money. That is when stuff would start to fail. Dell does not adjust the price even though you have a newer machine and should have less issues with it..
