    Hello,

After getting my AC Adapter replaced and my motherboard replaced. My battery STILL won't charge. That means the only culprit left was the battery, and according to Dell, I must buy a new battery from them since my 1 year battery warranty is over. The battery from Dell is too expensive, 6 cell for 330 dollars ?!??! So where else can I buy my battery from. The store needs to have good reputation, secure, and good prices. I would like either 6-cell or 9-cell battery, and willing to pay around 70-100 dollars. The battery sold must be either new, or refurbished with full capacity. Finaly, the story must be able to ship to Canada quickly and for a reasonable price.

    Thanks

    eBay?

You would be wise to avoid non-OEM batteries though, as there is definitely more of a risk that they would not work correctly or do damage over time to the notebook or the battery itself.

    What laptop?

    a) the thing with eBay sellers is that you dont know when the battery is made... once the battery is made, it would immediately start losing its capacity... thats why the battery prices from dell.com fluctuate so much, any shortage = high price since they dont really keep a high backstock on batteries

    dell.ca shows me 3 6-cell batteries for m1530, lowest price is $159

(and m1530 battery isnt compatible with m1330 battery, just givin gyou a headsup)

Anyone bought one of those cheap batteries from Hong Kong off ebay? I have a feeling they will only last a few months.

    Well I bought a 9-cell battery off ebay (69€ ;)
It was new and although I don't use it very often, I think it was a good deal!

The reason for the high prices of batteries thru Dell is largely due to a fire that ripped through and destroyed their battery plant in China last winter/spring. Once the children finish rebuilding the factory prices should get back to reasonable levels.

    lol...

So would that explain why there's literally no batteries available for the Vostro on the Dell website? I checked both dell.ca and dell.com

    (looking for a 9-cell Vostro 1400 battery)
