So I got my brand new M1730 yesterday afternoon and set straight to work reformatting the hard drive and cleaning all the crap off of it. I got through the format, putting a fresh version of Vista Ultimate x64 (SP1) on there.

Now my problem is even though the drivers are for x64, I can't seem to get windows to detect the device. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a few times, reset the computer... all that jazz. Still no dice, theres still an "Unknown Device" under networking devices in device manager but I can't seem to get it to work.

I'm using a hard wired connection at my desk anyways, but obviously I would want that to work. I'll list some relevant specs below

    XPS M1730
    T9500 Penryn
    4g of Ram
    8800 GTX in SLI
    Windows Ultimate X64.

Maybe its a problem in the dell BIOS that I need to go find.. I just thought of that.
