Hey guys, is the T7300 processor worth a decent amount of money? I am getting a M1330 with a T7300 and wish to switch it out with a T8100 or T8300. Do you think that it would be an even trade value wise? And would changing the processor void my warranty?

I just read a thread on here where someone said they called Dell, and were told that it will not void your warranty by upgrading the CPU. If you mess up your system by doing it, it will be voided. Just be careful.

Best bet is to email or do a Dell Chat and ask. That way you have some proof of what you were told.

Wow those are some low prices. I saw some on Ebay going for $150 so I thought that it would be worth as much. And I am fairly familiar with changing out the CPU. I did it with my Inspiron 9300 for a pin mod. I just really want the T8100 or T8300 for lower heat production.
