Hi. I want to do a copper mod on my xps 1340, i already did arctic silver 5 mod and it helped a lil but i want to do a copper mod on gpu since it has a gap and the original thermal pad is a piece of junk. I cannot find a piece of copper the ideal size for my nvidia 9400mg die. Therefore im thinking of buying a samll copper tube (pipe) and cutting it in half and then hammering it flat. Will this theory work? are copper pipe tubing made out of good quality copper? PLEASE HELP ME OUT

I think this is a bad idea! Unless you get it dead flat you will probably end up with worse temps than stock.
Look on ebay for metal offcuts, they sell copper shims for the m1330 and I expect it will also fit your 1340.

They are 14x14x1.4mm but do other sizes on request. I bought one for my studio 1555's ati 4570 and it made a massive difference to temps
Using a small copper pipe for copper mod? help!
