    Hi everyone,

Just received an XPS 1530 2 days ago. One of my first tasks on any new computer is to partition the hard drive into an OS Drive and a Data drive. Well after a couple attempts and some research I see that isn't as easy as it sounds.

I've looked through the bloatware removal guide and a number of other threads here about removing partitions but there is a lot to read through so I thought I'd start my own for some specific advice.

    1) I'd like to flat out remove Media Direct (3.5 came on my machine). I can't really see myself using it. We have an Inspiron 6400 at home and have never, ever used it in 2 years. How would I go about this? If i just delete the 2.5 gb partition does that completely uninstall it? More importantly does that free up a partition for me to create a data drive?

    2) I also want to run through the bloatware removal process. Should I do this before I delete Media Direct and the partition or after?

    Thanks for your help
