Dell won't do it but I'd like to have my 1080p non-touch screen upgraded to 4k touch screen. Is this a job Best Buy or u break i fix could handle or too difficult?

    Thanks

LOL not for me! It is likely to be a first attempt for whoever does it so it's hard to know who to trust. I'm amazed Dell won't do it for $. They probably replace broken screens all the time.

They don't even want me to open the computer to add a second ssd even though there is a slot for it with a heat sink already installed for it. Anything I do voids the warranty.

Adding or changing user serviceable components like RAM or an SSD does not void your warranty.

    Because that's not technically a user-serviceable part.

I know a guy who replaced a mother board for me but it was toast again in less than a year. He has the best ratings around here. He's not a Dell specialist though. I have no idea who is. Dell sent a guy to my house once to replace a video card in an old laptop but I have no idea who he was or what company he works for.

My safest move is to sell my laptop and buy a new one but I'll lose a grand minimum.

Is there such a thing as a external 27 inch 4K USB-C touchscreen monitor?
