    I am looking for a X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook and I can't find them anywhere.

    I was told that the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD (which I have) does support the Logitech Z 5500. I just have to use both of the headphone input as well as the mic input. If that's true, then the ISBA HD supports 5.1?

    Can anyone clear that up?

    Thanks in advance.

    Yeah, you can use the Z5500 with the onboard sound card, it does support analogue 5.1 (with dual headphones and mic imput).
    However, an X-Fi sound card may sound better.
    I say "may" because they do not have any dedicated audio processor, so the sound quality is about the same as the onboard one with Creative's software.

    Thank you so much TimeWriter. Does the Z 5500 come with the wires needed for the dual headphone jack and mic jack?

    Will I have to use a headphone jack splitter?

    Every jack will have two outputs, for every speaker and subwoofer, so you will have 3 x 2 = 6 outs (and 6 speakers).
    Z5500 will come with all wires you'll need. I use a X540 (in future maybe I'll upgrade to G51 or Z5500 if I have money) without any problems, sound is great.

    Could I get this....

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=2322930&postcount=16

    I have a S-video in port.

    The thing I'm suck at is the Red, Green, Blue ports. o_O I plan on hooking up my PS3 to the Z5500.

    M1730 --> S-Video to component with SPDIF dongle --> Coax Dig cable --> Z5500

    TV --> HDMI --> PS3

    This is the TV I have... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889112020 (not the best, but do able for PS3)

    What's the best way to get all of it together...meaning, sometimes I listen to movies on tv thats playing on my laptop. I use a VGA. I used my Promedia GMX 2.1(died on my a few months ago) to hear the movies and games. Sorry if I'm confusing. lol. xD

    You don't need that cable if you want to connect your Z5500 with 3.5 mm analogue jacks.

    would it be a noticeable different or a tiny different for someone who's not a hardcore audiophile would notice.

    Well, sound will be more natural and deep, if you know what I mean.
