Hi guys. Received my L502x today and after spotting a dead pixel this morning, it not seems i've lost the use of the touch sensitive keys :/ not going well for me with this laptop at the moment.

Mobility centre works but the quick launch one (Ive tried to change it in mobilty centre) and the waves max audio key just doesnt launch anything.

They did work earlier today but since i was adding/removing dell programmes from the uninstall programmes in control panel it seems ive lost use of them.

I tried a system restore too which didn't work.

    Any ideas?

Reinstall Dell Quickset. That controls the touch buttons and adds more to the mobility center, you likely uninstalled it.

Well some of them likely don't apply to your system as Dell will list drivers for every wireless card option, WWAN cards, the numerous graphics cards, etc. If you have all the drivers on your system such that it functions well, I wouldn't worry about it.

Some of those are also likely either drivers you already have installed or they are just updates. My feelings on drivers are don't update unless something is broke :D

Thanks Matt - been a big stress reliever lol.

Got an engineer coming out Monday too to replace the screen... something I didn't expect since it being from the outlet. Who said dell had bad customer service :O

Even outlet systems carry the same warranty options. If there is a problem, Dell will fix it. They are pretty good about sending techs out to repair/replace broken components. It's trying to do anything else with them where the trouble starts...

Also, most outlet systems have been hardly used, if at all. They are typically systems that were returned within days due to wrong build configuration, customer not liking it, small minor cosmetic blemishes (major ones Dell typically will repair before putting up on the Outlet), and the like.

Sorry to hear you got a bad screen though! These things do unfortunately happen. Electronics are touchy beasts.
