Hi, I just bought a Toshiba Satellite l650d-111 but I'm thinking of returning it for the xps 15 (Basic configuration). There's a few things I like and don't like about the toshiba.
And I want to know the positives and negatives the xps shares.

It's very cool. The only heat I feel is at the top left on a small area underneath the cooling vent and it's mild.

It's super quiet. No noise when it's booting or using the internet with lots of tabs and running other stuff

The power adapter fits tightly in the power socket. And the power socket is on the side. My previous laptop an Acer aspire 5720, socket was at the back and the connecter of the power adapter fitted loosely and would disconnect easily

    The screen feels securely attached.

Weighs 2.5kg and feels very light compared to the aspire which was around 2.9kg

I don't like how glossy and plastic feeling it is. The chassis is nearly all plastic and glossy. I want the lid and casing to be metal or feel like it.

The keyboard key are too wobbly and and bouncy. It feels fragile. And the keyboard is near the middle. I want it closer to the screen and more space for the palm rest area.

The click buttons are hard to press. And the touchpad looks like a glittery sticker.

This laptop my brother owns doesn't have those problems. Hi-Grade Notino W5700 Reviews & Tests - alaTest UK

    His is silver.

It's very sturdy, no gloss anywhere, has a metallic lid and casing or feels like it. The keyboard is great, the keys are firm, flat and push down and up instantly.
It weighs around 2.8kg but feel light much more than the acer and feels strong

So basically I want to know how hot the dell gets, how noisy it is, how good the keyboard is, if it's glossy and how much, the durability and if it feels plastic.
    Thanks.
