    Hey what's up!

This thread is for those who are waiting for their new XPS notebook, trying to figure out how [awesome] the notebook looks and for those who just want to show off their babies.

I don't have any shots yet as mine will come in about 4 weeks (freaking production time!) but I will contribute 10+ pictures (promise) as soon as it does.

Try to provide homemade pictures. This is XPS p0rn. GO!

skinned with a protector .... thats why its so reflective...
the xps black cover has black bubbles b/c of bad application.. is almost gone now :)

my XPS is in its casing waiting to be used (why bother with a 13.3" screen when i still have my 19" desktop?.....)

will see more xps usage when i go to college next week :p

What exactly do you mean by "casing"? As in original plastic or extra cover? Sorry not sure.

How did you get the palm rests so shiny :p?

Hmm, I like the though of protecting my XPS, but I want my aluminum chassis to look aluminum. Does your notebook look less plastic than it does in the pics, paper_wastage?

Yeah I was going to do this with the invisible shield that was half off today for $20 but the problem was that I was worried the covering would impair the heat dissipation of the aluminum palm rest, thus trapping more heat into the system. The M1330 needs to dissipate as much as it can. Well the price of the invisible shield has gone up to $40 now, oh well.

XPS M1530 playing BF2, next to 20" Dell monitor.

Here is the Dell XPS M1530 next to a Dell Inspiron 1720 so you can see the difference between a 15.4" and 17" laptop:
