I've had my laptop for about 2 months now and never really thought twice about it, but now after reading the forums and talking to a few people I'm actually pretty concerned.

    Computer: m1530 3gig ram 320gHD 5400

    Game: WoW
Avg FPS: 10-20 (in cities 1-15)
    Settings: Maxed

    Temps:
    Core 1: 80
    Core 2: 80
    VideoCard: 90
    Harddrive: 45

I've got no clue what's going on, I'm not OC'd and never have been, but this is just ridiculous. please help!

cspencer, im sorry to say but your system has some terrible heat issues, the video card is underclocking to protect itself when it reaches 85-90 C, you might wanna give dell a call about it, they will most likely change your motherboard ( gfx card is soldered to the motherboard).

looks like you got a deffective Gfx card....

best of luck man, keep us updated!

That is way too high. I agree with Koer, call them and have it RMA'd. GL

For sure, call Dell. Man, that is a horrible problem, both nvidia's and dell's fault.

Make sure your not blocking the intake vents while playing.

Try raise the back by at least an inch or two.

Shouldn't cost you anything. You get at least a 1 year warranty, usually, and this is a manufacturing defect that they have already taken ownership for.

If its still messed up after they replace it, go ahead and call them again until they can prepare it! It only cost you some time not money anyway. Idle at 73 78 is way too high ... my system idle at 31 -> 40

Are these temps also similar for a 1330? I was idling at 70-75 and going as high as 100-110. I got my mobo + heatsink replaced and now I am idling 60-65 and going as high as 90-100.... Not sure what else I can do. Called dell again, but we will see what's up. Elevated laptop as well.
