Trying to burn the system recovery discs to DVD

but it's hanging at 5% on the "verifying disc" stage... and then failing.

    Any ideas?

After searching a bit, maybe it's an issue with my DVDs... although I've never ever had a problem with one- I think they're memorex, but I don't remember (just have a blank white front)

i had same issue with Sony branded discs, went through 3 of them. I ended up with one disc on a Sony and the 2nd on a Memorex brand.

Use higher quality discs, and for that reason I only use Verbatim.
