I have a t5750 CPU in my laptop atm (M1530), and I'd like to replace it with a t8300. Before i make a decision, id like to know if it's even possible to do? I know the bios must recognize both and they need to be the same line or whatever, but a guy i know has a t8300 in the same laptop i do, and he is using the same bios and bios version as myself (A12).

and i also need to know if the m1530 can even swap out the cpu.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. You can use even a T9300 or a X9000 if you want to.
It is very easy so swap it out. Just remove the back cover and you'll find out the heatpipes. Remove the screws under the CPU heatsink, swap out the old cpu, put the new one, apply a thermal paste and put back the heatsink.
    That's all.

The top end that you can use is the T9500, not the X9000. Because the X9000 has a higher TDP, the M1530 can't handle the extra heat.

But switching the CPUs will probably be quite easy.

Note that you are voiding your warranty while doing so.
