    Hey,

So my dad recently got a Latitude E4310 with an i5-560 and it's a 13'' laptop. I have a i3-370m in my L501x (15''). Would I be able to take the i5 from the Latitude and put it in the L501x?

    (I also have optimus w/ a nvidia 420m 1gb)

Yes, you can swap the processors, since both platforms natively support each chip.
