I am trying to decide between a similarly configured studio xps or dell studio 17. Both would have i7-720, 500 GB HD, 6 or 8 RAM, blu-ray, blue tooth, wimax wifi, 1080 p screen (studio 17 has B+RG screen), etc. I would occasionally play some games (Mass Effect 2, Batman AA, MW2), watch movies, put together presentations, etc. Thought about Alienware M15X but did not see myself enough as a hardcore gamer for the extra $$$. Dell rep pushed hard for studio 15 but I don't think it is as nice as either of these. Want to buy soon unless new XPS is coming out within the next month.

the graphics in the studio xps is a bit better than the 5650 in tbe studio 17...guess it comes down to how big of a screen you want. Personally I wouldnt want anything bigger than 15.6".

Thanks. I have been leaning toward the XPS. One of the things that I have been worried about is whether or not the upgraded graphics card was the only change to the XPS that Dell was planning for the near and immediate future.
